1st Corinthians 12
Bless'd Be the Body

melody

Bless'd be the Body,
The glory of the Head,
Formed for the calling
Of living from the dead;
Used by the Lord
To carry His word
And shine as a burning lamp.

Yea, bold in relief
To implore a belief

That gathers to the Son of Man.

Bless'd be the members,
That work in unison,
Spreading as embers;
Voice true and clarion.
Each as a tool
The Builder will use
To  feed and to wash His Church,
That words in our flesh
Might His Spirit impress,
An image of Jesus on earth.

Merciful power,
Has overcome the world
By our Great Shepherd
Through Whom God's plan unfurls,
Glorious light
To roll back the night
Through vessels of earth refined
With triune gift,
Blood, water and wind,
As witness on earth of new life.
